I know you might be a little cautions about using this webpage on your iPhone, so I thought I'd tell you a little about myself. I hope it puts your mind at ease.
I've been working in the computer industry for over 25 years.
In addition to working for some very big companies: The Home Depot, Castle & Cooke Properties, Kaiser Permanente, Hilton Hotels, and others, I've also written thousands of lines of code for pre-IPO startups. Also, my company, BCC & Associates, provided software development services to many Hawaii companies for over 12 years.
I've written in C/C++, ObjectPascal, CORBA, COM, DCOM, java, SQL, and others. I've worked in the Hospitality, Health, Home Improvement, Human Resources, and VOIP industries. I've written software for IBM mid-range computers, for networks, used data scopes, written interfaces for phone switches and communication devices, as well as on small Telxon handheld devices.
In just about every area of computing, I've always migrated to the UI (user interface). Although I can model databases and create server side code for web services, I prefer to design and code what the user sees.
I admire, copy, and seek to design flawless UI. Whether physical or digital, I want the things that I use everyday to work effortlessly, without thinking, intuitively.
Even if I can't physically improve upon a design due to resources or mechanical ability, I'll draw what improvements I would make. It's just what I do. It's just how I think.
When I am not designing, I'm sketching, reading, collecting quotes, learning Chinese, or taking pictures while traveling.
